Yesterday was one of those days that are just hard to bear, but this morning I got up at 5:30 and climbed a giant rock and enjoyed the sun and felt better.

i have an interview at 4 today for the position of lead sales associate at Goodwill. it would give me better pay and look pretty awesome on a resume.
i feel like i have a good chance. i've been there for almost 7 months, i catch onto things fast, i'm calm, laid back, and respected by my coworkers...
but i'm 16. and while i act much more mature than 16, i don't know if my boss would like to pretty much put the whole store in a 16 year old's hands. who knows.
My television tells me to panic...
but I don't think I'll listen.

I have to a) write and b) publish before November in order to get the
internship I want. Oh HELL.
But at the same time, I know exactly what I'm going to write about and
who would publish it... so it's sort of ok.
Yep I'm definitely going to hell... but I'll have all the best stories to
tell.

I'm in the same boat. Except I can't find an internship near me and the
one I was going to do this summer fell through; everything I want is in
New York, LA, SF or the lovely Decatur, GA. None of which I live in.
What are you trying to do with your degree?

I want to try working for NPR, or the Denver Post, or Skiing Magazine
(both of which are based within 45 minutes from where I live, yay!). To
start with.
I might try writing about music or something eventually, but I've never
done it before so I have no idea who'd even take me on as an intern for
it. Lols. I figure there are a lot of things I can try. Mainly though, I want
to write, or do something with music and/or broadcast, or do all of the
above.
The NPR one I want is in Culver City, CA, or I could try for any
newspaper from here to Canada and then some and see if I can't get an
internship somewhere respectable. But I really want the NPR one.
Because I like NPR. And they're pretty much amazing.
What are you trying to do with YOURS?
Yep I'm definitely going to hell... but I'll have all the best stories to tell.

My older sister got all sorts of butt-hurt because I said I didn't care about the mishap last night at the VMAs.

Kelly, I have my eyes set solely on music magazines.
Paste, Spin & Under The Radar at all on the map. My ultimate goal right
now is Death+Taxes.
I am currently looking at schools I could transfer to because I'm going to
need to move eventually. Paste would be easiest for me since its in
Georgia, but I'm talking to my best friend about living with him in the Bay
Area over the summer to try and land an internship at Spin. Its a long
shot, but its what I want to do.

Two years ago, I bought a pair of Emily the Strange yoga pants (yep...from Hot Topic), and since they emphasized all the cottage cheese chunk in my legs, I just stuck them in my closet and forgot about 'em.
Two years later, I find them and decide to try them on. There is no more cottage cheese chunk to emphasize, therefore they look great. Especially on my butt.
