Bomb the Music Industry! is like, the greatest thing ever.

Discuss.

Or discuss times where you didn't get into a band, you waited, it clicked and you felt stupid.

I have seen too much.

I haven't seen enough.

Pretty much exactly how I felt when I discovered The Lawrence Arms not to long ago.

Another day,
Another eternity gone.
And on the stairway to salvation,
I walk alone among the falling stars,
looking for company.
Where Art Thou?

For me, it's recently been Defiance, Ohio.

And they actually played a show around here back somewhere between January and March.

i have to say no matter how much sh*t i may get for this, for me it was Escape the Fate. i saw them when they were touring with chiodos last year but since my seats sucked i didnt come till the concert was half way over and caught the last of thier set. i decided they were okay, possibly a band i could enjoy upon furter investigation. after an awsome show i discovered that they would be a headliner later that month, once i found that out i decided, for lack of something better to do, i would listen to them to see if i would be interested in going to thier show. first time i did i was like whatever but after the third time or so they were stuck in my head, and i ended up loving them. the "im an idiot" part is after i offically decided i loved them i had missed thier concert by TWO days!

Bomb the music industry suck, they caused a riot at a house show where
they were supposed to play blink 182 covers.

Maybe Gogol Bordello...totally always hated them...watched Wristcutters
and gave them a second chance.
I'm still not totally sold on them though.

^ Jeff was pretty pissed and upset about that.

When I started listening to None More Black in middle school, I wanted more Jason and started listening to Kid Dynamite. I wish I listened to them sooner.

I hated the Blood Brothers back in the day.

And now Young Machetes is one of my top albums.

Anything before Scrambles, I didn't like. It just didn't do it for me. But Scrambles is lovely. Me likes.

^^^I used to really like the Blood Brothers. I had Crimes, and it did the reverse of growing on me. I haven't listened to anything after that though..

The Hold Steady.

First time I listened, it did nothing for me. A few months later, I love them.

I won't let the scene take you away.

Seen 'em live, though I can't seem to really get into these guys. There's only a handful of songs that I really enjoy listening to, but other than that, nothing...

I hate myself for not getting into Against Me! sooner. I've known about them for 6 years now, but I only began to realize how awesome they are last year, and by then they had already played 2 shows in my town =(

I've watched my generation piss themselves again

I got into Bomb The Music Industry! far too late.
Kind of the same thing with The Gaslight Anthem.  I had heard Katie and a few others talk about them, but never really listened.  Then I listened to Sink of Swim just before '59 Sound came out and I was hooked.  The problem was they had played this intimate little show at a club here in Rochester a week and a half earlier.  So I had to wait almost 2 years for them to come back, this time with the amazing Murder By Death (who I also go into long after I should have).
