HQ: Los Angeles, CA NOW PLAYING: The White EP THE STORY SO FAR: Resident Hero owe Sammy Hagar. After Texas native Ryan White (vocals/guitar) relocated to Los Angeles and started gigging with Jay Warren (drums) and Luke Agajanian (bassist), they eventually entered a battle of the bands-hosted by non other than the former Van Halen frontman and tequila shill-which they won. "[That was when] we decided maybe we didn't suck that much," says White. "We used our prize to record our EP." WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM:The mostly melodic, sometimes aggro quartet already look the part of success. Friends and tourmates with Flyleaf, vocalist Lacey Mosley sings on their stellar track, "Vendetta Black." And while they've played with Kill Hannah and Simple Plan, RH aren't a full-time band-yet.
