And, as drummer Jeff King reminds us, "We're from West Virginia, not Virginia. Very few people are aware West Virginia became its own state in 1863." The hardworking Mountain Staters have toured from Texas to Massachusetts with nearly every band they've encountered. "We work really hard, live together, and watch out for each other like a group of brothers," says King.
