HQ: Columbus, GA NOW PLAYING: Assorted demos THE STORY SO FAR: The members of Classic Addict played in other bands for almost a decade before finally discovering chemistry together two years ago. "We have such a passion for music and work hard in portraying this in our songs," says vocalist/bassist Cale Dodds. In addition to playing with Cartel and Family Force 5, the foursome were voted into the Top 5 in this year's Drive-Thru Records/mtvU "Best Music On Campus" contest for unsigned acts. WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: If the Academy Is... are bringing the '70s back, then they may have a little competition on their hands. While Classic Addict's hooks and vocals lean more toward today's pop-punk, their double guitar solos are pure classic rock. And they realize this combo is catchy, too.
